i don’t know what i’m thinking having the oven on when it’s so warm in the kitchen already. but i had FOUR PUNNETS of strawberries just for a special strawberry shortcake recipe i’m working on. this is our assignment for thursday in the food writing course i’m taking (yes, it is the best course ever) – we are to come up with a completely new recipe, test it, then re-write the recipe for accuracy and readability.
since it hasn’t been “tested” yet (that is, phil and i get to gorge ourselves on strawberry shortcake for dessert tonight), i won’t be giving out the recipe in this post. but don’t fret – it will be gracing the blog very shortly.
in the meantime, feast your eyes on the shortcake part of the recipe. they’ve just come out of the oven!
